Due to my love of making people smile, Kolohe Kupkakes was created. I wanted to create Kupkakes that reminded me of my childhood and share those with my family and friends. Family recipes like Red Velvet and Carrot Cake to flavors like Guava, Haupia, and Lilikoi and of course flavors only my kids could think of, S'Mores and Banana Split.

Pumpkin Kupkakes

With the holiday season approaching it only seemed appropriate To make Pumpkin Kupkakes.

These are simple pumpkin kupkakes with a whipped cream frosting. Depending on what you like, some of them have nuts, some have nuts and raisins, and some are just plain pumpkin kupkakes.

Chocolate Kahlua Kupkakes

This is a flavor I made for my husband. He's one of those guys that has to have his coffee in order to function throughout the day. But a plain coffee kupkake wouldn't do for me. So that's when I decided to add the chocolate and Kahlua to the mix. And to give a little crunch, I added candied walnuts to the top.

This kupkake is a simple chocolate cake infused with a little coffee and Kahlua. The top is a buttercream frosting with chocolate, coffee, and Kahlua mixed in with candied walnuts sprinkled on top.

My husband took some to work today and so far the reviews are great. Thanks hun!

S'Mores

This past summer I had the pleasure of having my nieces and nephews come out to visit.  They loved being my guinea pigs while I baked.  One flavor they asked for me to bake over and over again was the S'Mores Kupkake.

This kupkake starts off with a graham cracker crust at the bottom.  I then added a gooey chocolate cake to form the rest of the kupkake.  To top it all off, I added a toasted marshmellow frosting.  Sometimes I sprinkled a little graham cracker crumbs to the top of the cake to give it a little something, but the kids didn't mind having them either way.

Pink Velvet

Just like many of us, my family had someone dear to us become diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  This person being my sisters best friend, she decided to join the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure Walk here in San Diego.  Of course by creating a team, my sister and her friends needed to do a little fundraising.  One of the events they held was called "Bowling for Boobies."  At this event they had bowling and sold a few goodies on the side.  All proceeds going towards Breast Cancer Research.  My sister asked me to make Red Velvet Kupkakes.  I had to do one better than that.  So I created "Pink" Velvet Kupkakes.

This kupkake is simple.  Its a "Pink" Velvet cake topped with a cream cheese frosting.  To add some flare, I added pink sprinkles.  To make it easier for people to eat, we placed them in cups and served them with pink spoons.

If you'd like to support my sister and her team, please feel free to order some "PINK" Velvet Kupkakes from me, and I will donate all proceeds to my sisters team and their effort to raise money for Breast Cancer Research.

Mango Cheesecake

One of the many fruits I love is Mango.  One year I spent part of my summer in Hana, Maui at my Tutu's house.  While there one of my Aunties made a delicious Mango Cheesecake from the fresh mangos that were outside on the tree.  I had always wanted to recreate that wonderful dessert, but of course Mango here in Southern California is different than the ones in Hawaii.  However, I was able to recreate that yummy dessert in a bite sized form.

My Mango Cheesecake starts off with a cookie base.  Then comes the Mango Cheesecake filling that is topped off with pieces of sliced fresh mango...so ono.

Guava and Haupia KupKakes

These were the first Kupkakes that I wanted to make.  These of course being my favorite flavor cakes.

The Guava Kupkake is made from a light chiffon Guava cake. It's then topped with a whipped cream frosting that is finished off with a Guava glaze.

The Haupia Kupkake is a coconut cake filled with a Haupia pudding.  Then we top it off with a light whipped cream frosting and sprinkle a little freshly grated coconut on top.
